Instructor led courses are courses that require you to be in person for the entirety of the course. You will learn from your instructor, watch videos, and complete a hands on skills session. Length of course will vary depending on the course you are attending.
Heartcode courses (or Blended Learning) are a mixture of both online education and in person skills sessions. You will watch a series of videos online from the comfort of your own home, at a time that's convenient for you. Once completed, you will bring your completion certificate to your scheduled in person skills session to complete the "Hands-On Portion" of your test. Here you will be able to ask your instructor questions, practice, and test for your completion certificate. Length of skills sessions vary depending on the course you are attending.
All American Heart Association Cards are good for 2 years.
Students should wear comfortable clothes that will allow them to sit, stand, and kneel to perform the skills needed to complete the class.
Every effort will be given by your instructor to assist you in specific techniques if you require additional help to perform the skills efficiently. However, if you are unable to perform the skills required for certification, you will not be issued a passing certificate.
